High-intensity interval training, also known as HIIT, serves to strengthen the performance of the lungs and heart, build muscles and endurance, and burn fat effectively. The intensive training also stimulates the metabolism and protects against various diseases. The modern training method, in which short stress phases of mostly 20-60 seconds alternate several times with short active recovery phases of around 10-30 seconds, achieves a high calorie consumption. In addition to your own body weight, small devices such as rubber bands, tubes or dumbbells are also used at some stations. The exercises can be carried out at different training speeds and intensities and are therefore suitable for all age groups and fitness levels.
